Just trying to get a feel for how programs are done and if it’s a chance to go straight into large cabin.
You can not go straight into ILC. If you have considerable amount of G time flying international and a ILC team wants you it’s possible after 6 months. The company wants you to understanding how Flex operates before they invest big bucks in a type (doesn’t matter if you already have one, gotta do it again). There’s a few guys jr to me on the 650 and I’d estimate it took 6-9 months to move over. The most jr 650 CA is 686 out of 810 pilots. We’ve hired over a 100 this year, he was a pre COVID upgrade. Hope this helps

ILC starts at 140k a year and your team bonuses can be up to 50% of your base salary.

small correction- ILC base salary now is 160k for all airplanes

It's actually not the preferred destination for many senior pilots. You have more earning potential staying Domestic and more control of your schedule.

Just a few fun questions:
1-How often do you ride hotel shuttles or is it mostly rental cars from the FBO?
2-Is it 8 hours bottle to throttle or 12?
3-How many flight hours per tour are empty part 91 time?

Maybe in the Globals or Gulfstreams but not in any other fleet to my knowledge.

Ok thanks Longhorn, how does the company get ahold of you or vice versa when airborne?

Wifi has been installed in airplanes for some time now. Sat phones work. When in doubt ATC can call you.

Default Priester Aviation Is Hiring

I am looking for several Learjet Captains either recently retired or just ready to make a move. Position is in Oklahoma City and annual customer usage would be roughly 150 hours a year. If you are interested, send me your resume and I will get it over to our HR Department. My email is [email protected].

Thanks and refer your friends as well!

Saw a Phenom captain the other day spinning engines up while the FO was out of the cockpit, presumably briefing the pax. You guys do that garbage regularly or was there a conversation amongst that crew about following SOPs later that day?

All Flexjet pilots are trained to start engines and run checklists and yes it is allowed as long as it is briefed before hand.
