Applied yesterday and had a friend submit an internal rec. Got a call today at noon to schedule an interview. Seems like recommendations have a LOT of say.

FYI for anyone that cares....
Applied probably 3 months ago, not expecting anything
3700TT 1000TPIC most time is multi crew multi engine, no internal rec. Got a call the other day for a phone screen and to set up a F2F. Pretty excited for the interview.
So to those guys without the rec it can happen, just be patient
Does anybody have any interview info or will aviationinterviews suffice?

Aviationinterviews covers everything pretty well.

Got my itinerary for an interview next week and it mentioned a "technical interview" but I can't recall any of my friends at FJ mentioning a technical portion. Anyone have any insight on this?

Nothing technical. Just some get to know you and TMAAT questions. Dress sharp, ask questions of your interviewers and have fun. It’s a very relaxed interview process and a good company to work for. Good luck!

The only time we skirted close to technical questions was one of the pilots on my panel interview asked what I was flying at the time and did I like it or not and why? Seemed more like small talk about airplanes than serious technical insight.

The technical interview is a sim interview.
Random sim of whatever’s available that day. OVC005 ish. Raw data, no flight director, hand flown IFR traffic pattern with some climbing turns, speed adjustments, etc, and then a hand flown ILS.
Then reload on the runway for a V1 cut. That’s it.

Hey folks, got an interview coming up next week - regional captain but haven't flown in a few months. Was wondering if anybody has tried to rent the Challenger 601 (the one FJ uses for sim eval) to practice some hand flying? Was thinking I could roll in the day before and polish up. At the least, it would be a confidence boost. Appreciate the feedback.

There is no guarantee that you will do your sim eval on that plane (601 sim). It simply goes by what sim is available on the day of the interview.
