Flexjet hiring ?
#1251
I pay $198 bucks for a family of 4 on the best health care I’ve had in 3 flying jobs. No premium raises for 11 years.
AsA captain give us a break, by years end will have a new pay package and you can harp on us again. I can say 95% of your pilot group is mad or grumpy pilots. Every time I walk through an fbo you guys look ****ed off. Reminds me of being a Express Jet CA and looking down at every operator besides for Air Wisconsin.
Netjets has superior size of scale over Flex. Instead of bashing our pilot group constantly, You should focus your energy on starting a fractional union (like ALPA). It’s sad that you spend so much time on this forum being negative. Divorced, single or lonely?

Your assessment of me is pretty funny and couldn’t be further off. My post was information without bashing, but thank you for resorting to name calling. Very professional. I was giving the correct facts regarding current Netjets pay and benefits to help new pilots make fully informed decisions. You do know that many applicants are interviewing at BOTH companies, don’t you? A lot of the applicants find themselves making a decision based on APC numbers that don’t represent the big picture when choosing between the 2 companies.
No need to work on a Frac Union as we have our own successful union. NJASAP been more effective than any ALPA union I’ve been associated with. This can be seen with substantial contract gains since 2007 that have benefited FJ. It would be great to have another Frac company out there that was also unionized to work with as a unionized partner. Maybe someday.
I’m happy your working to achieve better pay and benefits. I wish y’all the best of luck. Better pay and benefits help everyone. What happens when the company says No to your requests? What leverage or legal bargaining process do you have being non-union?

The 7/7 is less desirable from a financial standpoint; however, I’m hearing more chatter about individuals entertaining it due to so little control over scheduling, short period off, and grueling schedule while in the road. FJ is VERY focused on growth, which is a great thing, but many pilots are pushed past the point of exhaustion. Just the different time zones are enough to cause people little rest. If starting on the west coast, then an 0600 wake up in the east coast is exhausting. That being said, in many respects it is a wonderful company, but don’t think it won’t be some of the hardest work you will do.

I would consider holding out for NJ if you have a good gig. Flex doesn’t have a union so they will get (schedules, pay, rules..)what the company wants just like the unknown schedules they are operating on now. 7/7 at NJ does pay less than a CC(flex schedule) but if you are busting your ass you will make more because of fdp. (I just crossed $40k for the year on the 7/7 and I have 4 more tours this year). Again it’s not a guarantee but if you are working hard you will make more money for it. Insurance is 100% from day one and you will have a union that is fighting for you.

I would only consider NJ. The penalty at FJ for 7/7 is too large.

We are expecting a new pilot compensation package (Project Vision) to be announced shortly. Should meet or beat what NetJets is offering. Probably will have some version of FDP available also. Waiting to see how 7/7 pay will be affected.
