I don’t think there are set rules regarding number of days per month/year with the DRL. You are one of three captains assigned to an airframe and you set your own schedule amongst the three of you and as long as there is full coverage then the company takes what you give them. Maybe one of our DRL guys who knows the process better than I do can chime in with more info With PBS you’re required to work 14 days a bid period. It looks like there are lines that allow you to bid less than that down to 12, but everything I’ve heard before is 14 days a month. The lines max out at 18 days on per 28 day bid period. There is no set start/end date option with PBS. I usually bid 70-90 lines that I’d like and it seems to be a crap shoot since the return of PBS. My first bid period I was awarded 39/60 my second bid period I was awarded 1/70 and my most recent bid award was 75/75. I am currently #17 on the seniority on the fleet/seat I’m on.

It's on you to find 2 other captains and basically email the company and say: "hey, i got 3 captains, we'd like to be a Red Label team" and once your seniority can hold it, you're assigned a jet. My understanding is also that the team's overall seniority is driven by the most junior captain of the 3.
