That is perfect. I am trying to explain to my wife what my average trip length and home length would look like so she can understand a little better. Thanks!

The fractional type of flying intrigues me but having kids at home make 7 or 8 days on pretty much a no go.
If you live in a mega hub (green base) 5 day trips are possible or if you’re domiciled where Flex has its own FBO’s. I live in the Pacific Northwest and manage 6 day trips here and there but mostly 7 days on.

edit. I’m ex 121 and have 2 young kids. Took the wife a few months to adjust but overall she’s happier with me flying for Flexjet.

Asking for a friend, does FlexJet give their new hires an ATP on top of the PIC type rating?

Yep, plenty of guys do their ATP and PIC type ride in the same checkride.

Yeah it is the exact same ride, and usually TCEs are granted both type and ATP authority at the same time by the feds. Shouldn't be a problem.

Yup. I have several friends here that came in without an ATP and got it on their initial type ride. They had to pay for ATP/CTP and written and have that done first, and their oral was solo on their initial type since it was an ATP, but they got their ATP with their initial type.

Flexjet has tuition reimbursement, capped at $2,000/yr. If you paid for CTP within 6 months of your hire date, they claim they would reimburse CTP. We had a few guys in our class that are planning on taking advantage of that.

Default Hiring at 1,000 hours R-ATP

Any word on Flexjet following suit with NJ and lowering their hiring minimums to 1,000 hrs for 141 pilots with R-ATP?
