Received an email stating FJ is doing virtual interviews? How can that be when they require a sim check?
Was offered an interview, but have had a heck of a time getting to Dallas due to present employer commitments. Have also emailed recruiting inquiring.

I’m guessing the virtual aspect is for the preliminary interviews.

Most places (in my experience) are doing virtual interviews (phone or zoom).

The email I recently saw stated “conducting virtual… screening interviews”.

I suspect this is how most are doing it these days, with a preliminary assessment over the phone/zoom followed by the in-person in Dallas with the sim evaluation.

it also mentions traveling the country conducting interviews at aviation career events. I assume they can’t bring a sim with them ?

It was what I was kind of alluding to in my question since FJ is one of the last 135s to still require a sim check which is probably a good thing. Never heard back from HR regarding it.

They used to have three levels of interviews with an initial phone screen and then a second phone screen followed by the in-person interview with sim. As far as I know they were still doing sims during the interview 2 months ago but 2 months ago is a long time with how quickly things are changing in the industry. Best of luck to everyone trying to get here. It's a good place to be.

Did a little work with recruiting at an event. The “interview” they do at events is in lieu of the initial phone screen. You still have to go do DAL to do the in person/sim.

As far as I’m aware, the sim is still very much happening. I could be wrong, but I’m like 95% sure.
