All Flexjet pilots are trained to start engines and run checklists and yes it is allowed as long as it is briefed before hand.

What about single engine takeoffs? That still frowned upon?

Before start checklist and engine starts are allowed by a single pilot at the PIC’s discretion.

Seems it doesn’t pass you muster.

It doesn’t matter what I think. I asked the question and received the answer.

From recent new hire classes, what seems to be the aircraft people are getting? Is the Legacy 450 common? Does base come into play when it comes to aircraft assignment? Have upgrade classes been happening?

New hires are split fairly evenly recently. Most going to Phenom then Challenger then Legacy. Don't think basing comes into play regarding assignments. There was an upgrade bid about a month ago for Phenom and Legacy and talks of another one soon.

Thanks for the info guys. Is the upgrade timeline and 5 year guarantee specific to the Phenom or is that any fleet?

5 year upgrade guarantee applies to FO in any fleet. Currently running about 2 years for Phenom.
