Its not just the 3rd world during the ‘rona....and if it wasn’t for the US payroll support our contracts would be getting slashed and burned over here in the States....but your point is taken.

I require glasses for the GCAA but not for FAA or EASA. If you think you’re borderline for FAA then 100% you’ll need glasses for GCAA.

Emirates is not a "third world company."

O, but they are. They operate that way at least. Could easily be the best expat job out here by a huge mile. They don’t want to be because they don’t have to.

UAE is most definitely a "third world country", thus Emirates is a "third world company".

You are always pedantic about your definitions, maybe you should google the definition of "third world".

And to be less pedantic, Dubai fulfills even the modern definition of "third world country" with the assumption that it is treated as a country.

Clearly you've never seen or known a third world company.

Very clearly.

Exactly. They are sort of second world, sort of first world.

Well first world labor laws help, so do first world safety laws. Where do I start? If your saying UAE is first world, is Saudi? Remember just because something shines from afar, does not mean it has the support behind it. Remember the uae flood several years back and all the cheap panels washing off the buildings?

My point is working on individual contracts that can be amended from time to time and the sole discretion of the person who holds your right to work and live in country oh, and is also the regulator of the local flying authority, is not first world in nature.
