Which Fractional?

1) 720 SICs above someone hired this second.
2) 10 upgrades a month.
3) 12 months a year.
4) 12 X 10 = 120
5) 720 divided by 120 = 6.
There's the math....questions? Now keep in mind NJS isn't just going to upgrade 720 people for nothing, so again, its going to be 10 years or longer unless something very big happens. But what would I know I've only worked here 14 years.
Your optimism is good but totally unrealistic. Even the age ruling, should it come, will not make a significant dent. Count on 10 years.

3 types of people in this world, those that can do math and those that can’t!

You ASSUME all 720 will remain there for upgrade.
You ASSUME there will only ever be 10 upgrades a month over the course of 6 years.
If there is certainly one thing you would agree on is that many things could change in the upcoming years that may effect upgrade times.
Math in aviation is often 'fuzzy' at best.

The current July Senioroty list has 2,445 pilots on it. The upgrade line is right at 1,767.
That’s a net of 678 FOs.
Not everyone upgrades. MANY prefer flying large cabin once they get settled.
Some of those will retire and medical out prior to upgrade.
Even IF everyone upgraded in the 678, that’s 12/mo leaving 56.5 months of waiting for then last FO to get a left seat.
That’s 4.7 years.
I agree. Math is hard. When SWA calls, emphasize your verbal skills.

I offered a bet to our resident cheerleader that a pilot hired in June of this year would not upgrade before July 1 of 2025. Even he refused to take that bet.

And the belief that Netjets will just keep upgrading SIC’s every month non-stop out of the goodness of their heart is the fuzziest calculation of all.

At a rate of 12/mo average, I would take that bet.

NJA works for some people, and God bless them, but if your ultimate goal is the majors find a regional that flows to your major of choice and apply there , that is the sanest path to 121.
