I agree with your post except for this part. I’m not a cheerleader like Retractable, but I’m also not a complete cynic who harbors nothing but animosity towards NJA management. The reality is the company WILL need to hire to fill the airframes on order. FDP has allowed the company to do more with less, but it is hitting critical mass at this stage. AQP will allow a small margin of extra productivity as well that may reduce the hiring footprint for a short while longer. That said, I would anticipate upgrade times to keep dropping over time, due in part to growth, and also to retirements that will peak in about 10 years. How this plays out ultimately, well... we shall see.

This from a guy who doesn’t even know the origins of the word Brauh but uses it often.
You just have to justify your move to 121 anyway you can.
Don’t worry Bruh (Hawaiian). We’ll be fine here.
Enjoy your red eye.
By the way, there very much are numerous comparisons of NetJets to 121... and the career categories 121 held a strong winning margin over NetJets have closed considerably over the last 15 years.
In another 15, I’m sure you’ll still claim a larger margin for some peripheral reason... and that’s fine.
Bruh.

All netjets flying is reserve flying.

I don’t commute playboy. Never have. Also, a 2015 hire is NOT going to upgrade in 2021, stop spreading lies. They are flat out lies without even a shred of truth. You don’t even have your finger on the pulse of the company you’ve worked at going on 2 decades now, you certainly have no clue what the airline industry is doing, yet here you are commenting on it. 2015 new hires ARE NOT GOING TO UPGRADE IN 2021, PERIOD.
Its super cute how you think everyone commutes and they everyone is on reserve. You must be getting your info from the same place you pull your lies about NJA from. Both are utterly worthless and flat out damaging on public forums.

You blew you change at upgrading by 2021 since you were hired in 2015. I know the news hurts. If I had a large ego like you, the mental anguish would be amazing.
You don’t commute but upgrading frost available chance at Alaska to ride reserve isn’t exactly “walking in tall cotton” either.
You’ve made a bad decision. Admit it.
But, “you make no mistakes. Everyone else is to blame. You’re the victim”.
We get it.

Quite the opposite. I simply call it like it is. I’ve predicted more accurately than not over the years.
Let me clarify the upgrade times. 2015 hired will take just a little longer, upwards of 4 more years tops. I miscounted... that’s 2023, not 2021. Sorry about that.
The upgrade time will continue to trend down to 6-7 years from there quickly, however... at the correct rate of upgrades, and with increased upgrades coming from enhanced available simulator time following AQP.
Sure, anything can happen, but that’s pure numbers right now of upgrades happening per month/number of pilots to upgrade vs the hire dates of the pilots were considering.
It is what it is.
When is your upgrade in base at Alaska?
Alaska is really burning up the 121 airwaves, right? At least 15 jets a year growth like NetJets? New cities? Lots of upgrades?
How’s that going for you?

It’s going great! SFO Airbus plug is a 2015 hire, so if things stay the exact same I’ll upgrade in less than 2 years. I’m less than 40% in base right now, make more than a 13 year FO at NJA and I work 12 days a month. I drive to work, never fly red eyes, I have thanksgiving and Christmas off and I fly the trips I want. Why? Because I can . I will echo the many others in here that leaving NJA was a fantastic decision. Enjoy TEB and sitting down to pee!
