Anyone have any updates on how PlaneSense is doing throughout this? Did they furlough any pilots? Any plans for resuming hiring?

Last update I got is they are still looking for late spring, early summer classes. Tech portion was virtual and they sent an email out saying they are waiting for travel restrictions to change to resume HR face to face/sim evals. I applied and got called about 2 weeks later for an interview in the thick of the "panic." If you are interested, definitely apply. Good luck.

I see on Planesense website that they require you to live within 100 miles of a base. I live 185 miles from the closest base but would love to fly the PC-12. Can anyone advise if this is doable or not? Thanks

They have been flexible in the past but a requirement of Home Standby is that you can get to the airport within 2 hours.

Are all of the airframes at every domicile? I find it hard to believe they spread the four Nextant's across all the domiciles listed.

The 400s are going away.

If you are asking if aircraft overnight at the domiciles the answer is no. If you are based at an outstation you will normally start and end your trip by taking an airline to/from the aircraft. If you are PSM based you will normally pick up your aircraft there. As for the jets if you become jet qualified you stay in your domicile and you will airline to/from the jet.

So I guess my follow up question would be, why aren't almost all major cities included in the domicile list? If you're flying commercial why does it matter where you're flying from? E.g. why is IAD listed but not DCA?

I'm new to the civilian world so I'm not well versed in the ins and outs. Appreciate all the help.

DCA & IAD are both listed under Washington. As to why not every city is listed is a management decision based on frequency and flight options. Just curious what city are you looking for?

Not looking for any city in particular. My city is already listed. Just trying to get an idea of how these things work. I'm not in the job hunt yet but am keeping my options open. Do you know what the upgrade time is currently looking like? I see in your previous post you need 1500 total, is that still correct? What about to upgrade to jets?

I'm at around 500 total with 150 more in sim time (I believe most is Class D), and most is multi-engine turbine, but only ~50 PIC. Do you think I would be competitive? I was hoping the Nextant's would stay because I'm typed.
