Second is I’ve got a vacation that’s been planned for 2 years that is 11 days long early next year. Could I negotiate for having this time off or request a class date that commences after the month of my vacation? Thanks in advance!

I would apply, they are looking for around 1000 hours. Your CJ4 time will be taken into consideration. You can temporarily shift your cycle around to accommodate your vacation.

Of course they are. It will happen, I'd say sometime before next summer, but they will milk it as long as they can. They have a threshold # of pilots when it becomes viable, but they won't say what it is.

Hello,

Anyone apply recently that can share interview experience? Sim check, etc.?

Any current PC-12 pilots available for a few friendly PM’s?

Thank you

This. Assuming you interview in PSM. Sometimes they conduct interviews elsewhere. For these it depends whets available but usually something along the lines of a Redbird sim.

I've seen it mentioned a couple times on this thread that if you live outside of the 100mi/2 hr window from a reporting base, you can utilize a family or friends place that might be within that window as a way to meet the requirement.

Due to life circumstances, namely my wife's job contract, we need to stay where we currently are for the next 7 months. Where we presently live is about a 3-3.5 hour drive from the nearest reporting base, however I do have extended family at that reporting base that would be willing to let me utilize their residence. The plan would be for this to be temporary until my wife's contract is up and then we would move to an actual reporting base.

So my first question, is this actually allowed by the company? And second, is my family's address what the company will want to use for pay/tax purposes? My one issue is that the reporting base my family's house is close to is actually across a state line. Would I be able to keep my current residency and just report from there, or will the company want me to make that my actual residence for tax purposes, etc...

Thanks!

They don’t care where you live for tax purposes as the only state they withhold money for taxes is Maine. All other states you pay your own estimated taxes. So your tax residence is between you and your local government. As for using an address other than your own for base purposes I’ve been told it’s still allowed.

Is the $60K-ish annual pay for 1st year Captains, as posted in APC, still valid? Seems rather light compared to some other 135 operators!

This is not accurate. They do indeed take out state taxes for remote pilots.
