Well
For a 12+ yr CA
2 yrs X 12mo X 75hrs = 1800

$250 - $166 = 84

84 X 1800 = $151,200

151,200 X 15% = 22,680

151,200 + 22,688 = $173,880

So there it is $173,880 + the 75mil for the pain and suffering of have to put up with the ownership /management clowns.

So I would Settle for $250,000....

That helps the legacies, not hurt
The thing is right now they don’t even look at our contract because it’s 10+ years old. When we sign a new one it will be relevant. This deal definitely hurts legacy pilots.

That said, our union all of a sudden doesn’t consider the legacies our peer group so maybe the legacy pilots can use that argument on the opposite side of the coin to keep their moon-ride pay.

This contract is backdated to March of this year if y’all hadn’t noticed, and it has an option to start negotiations 6 months early. So depending on when we sign it’ll be 3 years and change until we start negotiations again, if we choose.

I don’t think so..Just based on 12 year CAPT pay for reference
It is NOT back dated to 3/18...In fact we work for a discounted rate of 239.88, DOS, then jumps to 244.68 on 3/2/19. (by the way .32 less then our original ask). So, based on that, we can work for a discount rate for the first 3 months. Last pay jump is on 3/23...That is the beginning of year 5.
The March date actually aligns with our previous contract dates.
This is a 5 year contract. Read the fine print very closely..

Ya good luck with that one, not to mention our amendable date was 4/17, DOS for 12 yr CA is 239.88 and 12%DC.

I assume you intend to imply that this is an unknown. Or maybe you were just trying to put someone on the spot. Or maybe you wanted an answer so you could pick it apart from the cheap seats while never being forced to present your own opinion.

Bravo sir.

The fact of the matter is that the negotiating committee has determined that the $75 million signing bonus does, in fact, represent a specific percentage of what we are owed in retro pay. One of the committee members who has been writing the final contract language shared the number with me a couple of weeks ago when he poked his head in the cockpit while non-revving MSP to DEN.

I can’t remember the number, but yes, Virginia, there *is* a number and the negotiating committee acknowledges that we’re not getting 100%.
