You have to do new hire observation flights, which are must rides. So if you just book your observations flights as your commute home during training you'll be fine.

Honestly, why is this being asked extensively on the forum? The ground instructor can certainly provide that information to your friend if they just ask there? Why ask a friend to ask on a forum and possibly get bad information? Doesn’t seem like the best decision making out of the gate.
Once they’re in CASS just do it like a normal jumpseat, there is no need to worry about it being must ride. It’s not must ride going back to DEN (a domicile) anyway.

Because it's a holiday weekend, no one can be reached, the flight is tomorrow morning, and the person wanting to know isn't on this forum. I volunteered to ask here. This person was told the required JS rides were positive space and nothing was mentioned about domiciles not being included. Apparently insufficient information on how to go about the process was given.

Call our alpa jumpseat coordinator. He knows the current policy.
