Meanwhile legacy family kids get hired with no personal logbook records at all.

Is this how they mean to find good candidates for the next generation, by making them tab every little detail in a personal flight diary?

I weep for the future.

What makes me weep for the future is that there are people out there who believe that taking a couple of minutes to slap some sticky tabs on a few pages of their logbook is too much work.

If you tab them all correctly now, you’ll only need to tab your A320 type for the Legacy interview a few months later !

Default Days off a month

Anyone have a rough estimate of the number of days a line holder can typically get off a month? As an FO

Depends on the base and can vary based on a number of factors, including how you bid. As a junior lineholder in Miami, bidding minimum credit - I had 16 days off. My first month holding a line in ATL, I had 17 days off. I waived some contract protections in order to get that.

I think assuming 15-17 would be a safe guess if you’re willing to be flexible, unless you’re bidding high credit.

I heard a fair bit from the march/june class got lines in LAS and ATL with 16+ days off and some even got thanksgiving off. Insane right now.

I always work a few days as possible and have averaged 18 days off a month this year. 16-21 high and low.
