Hiring / training

Recently flew with a CA at my regional that said DL/UA/AA were black listing some pilots that jumped to a LCC/ULCC in an attempt to get around flows and get hired at a legacy quicker. Anyone else heard of anything like this?

Quite the opposite. I’ve been hearing a ton of people expediting the path to the legacies by going to a LCC

I don't think there is any proof of that no? And how would you get proof of that anyways? Sounds like a conspiracy. Many are getting hired

Sounds like a regional CA justifying to himself why he isn't making a move himself.

Doesn’t make any sense. Pilots being brought in from the flow are in the minority of pilots hired by legacies. The rest of their hires have to come from somewhere.

Just making sure they arent cracking down on people trying to skip the flow/metering. If they see you worked at certain regionals in the past X number of months or years... Sounds like its a bunch of BS from your responses, Which is what I was hoping for.
Thanks for the input.

Hell guys at psa we’re leveraging CJOs from other airlines to get hired at AA. It worked for some. Not others. I’m in the latter category. But it’s whateves….

Ive heard of that as well which is why im entertaining the idea of going to F9 SO SOON. Will probably get some crap for this but im a brand new regional FO that hasn't even consolidated on the Ejet yet. Passed the assessment and got an invite to interview. I was planning to stay at F9 but if I decide to move on, where is the quicker/better hiring opportunity? (semi-rhetorical question there). Plus if the hiring slows considerably id much rather be at frontier than a regional.
Im wondering if it was at all hours related...guys with more experience got CJOs/class dates while others needed a bit more experience to be competitive. Just a theory...
