So... Not even a slight rumor about the hiring classes?
Been over 3 weeks since Feb got scrapped and none of us have heard anything. I'm visiting HQ this week for the compliance/logbook review and still not a clue when I'll be onboarded haha. Just waiting to be told I'm getting delayed any day now. |

Right but no one in the Feb class nor my projected class have any clue what we're looking at for a start date.

With the aircraft orders your class date will come. I have no proof of this but I would suspect they are gearing up for classes to start every 2-3 weeks instead of 4-5. This would help keep a steady stream in each section of training. With the fleet growing by 19 they are going to need 35-55 new hires per month to be staffed by years end starting in March. In 2025 it gets a little more sporty with the fleet growing by 33. Hence why I surmise the email specifically mentioned 2025 training requirements.

We're the first to get dropped when things slow down. I wish I could say I was confident but I'm not. Already watched my date slide from January to Mar I suspect it's gonna slide again, just waiting for literally any update. I'm at HQ for compliance this week so im hoping for an update but honestly not very optimistic. |

At least among the cadets (of which most of us are CFIs, with some 135), we're more fearful by the day esp with the NK-B6 merger having been blocked.

Change is always scary. Typically we have run with about 15.8 pilots per plane. We are at 15.4 now. If we go down to 15 pilots per plane with the changes being enacted we still need 225 pilots. Add an attrition number of 30% and we will need to hire 300 pilots this year. I would agree with many that attrition, especially among commuters, is going to continue to increase due to day trips, base movement, and competitors contracts.
The question is whether they value the cadets or not. Let's say they have 40 per class. Let's say they allocate 10 slots to cadet hires per class. Let's say I'm #50 on the cadet list. That means I'm waiting 5 classes to get my foot in the door. It's impossible to know where I fall on there, but in October they sent me an official offer with a date of march 19th. I don't know how that's going to change post-Feb cancellation. That's what is killing me. Maybe over the top, but all I can think about is receiving a phone call or email in April that the program is dissolving and I'm being released from the program and CJO. |

I have no doubt they're going to hire and maybe hire quite a few.
