Honestly, I think that what was competitive before the contract and what's going to be competitive going forward are going to be two very different things.

Before the contract, an ATP and only a few DUIs was competitive. This fall, I suspect the competition is going to get much tougher

That happened at NK. We went from bottom of the barrel applicants to turning away Apollo crew as soon as the TA was announced.

I can see that. However most of his 3000 is quality time. Plus he has 1000 pic me turbine. I’ll bet less than half our pilots had that when hired. We’ve always hired a ton of fo’s.

Guess Neil Armstrong would not have been enough of a qualified test pilot for the military, from what you said. Lol

I was just making a generalization. I really don't know what competitive mins will be going forward, I just think they will be higher than they were. This forum did a very effective job of limiting the applicants during negotiations, especially towards the end

Like most jobs it’s more who you know than what you know...fwiw.

Understood. “I can see that” was more that I agree with you. It’s going to get more competitive. Having said that his flight times would be no issue at all in my eyes. It would come down to interview performance. Can we hang out for four days?, get the job done without incident?, and have a good time doing it. I don’t don’t interviewers so it really doesn’t matter.

Does anyone have a realistic first year pay guess? And yeah I know it’s a guess based on many unknown factors associated with base and reserve time. Just trying to get a number in my head, and seeing if I should plan on 12 month of min pay and hope for the best.

It’s really going to depend on base, how hiring goes, whatnot. I’d say plan on a year at min guarantee, and if you get more, you won’t be disappointed.

As a reserve, you are going top make guarantee unless you want to work on your days off, which at only 12, means basically no life. First year pay is a lot better than it used to be though, so you probably won't get much sympathy here as basically everyone here survived on $37/ hour and basically couldn't make more money.

Rsv now at least allows you to make extra. Old contract you were pretty well stuck on 75 hrs credit
