no, There isn’t. In reality it’s something the company should provide for the benefit of their crew making sure they have a place to relax and rest during delays etc. obviously our management has no concern for the physical well being of their crews.

100%. This no brainer is the most effective action the Union can take at this point under the RLA. I'm sure they are already in the process of making it happen.

ATI is now at 5 years. How long for F9? Buckle up:

ATI Pilots Mark Five Years of Prolonged Contract Negotiations

WASHINGTON D.C. — Today marks the fifth anniversary since Air Transport International (ATI) pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), exchanged opening proposals in contract negotiations. ATI pilots continue to express their displeasure with these drawn-out contract discussions and are operating under a below-market-based collective bargaining agreement (CBA) signed on March 21, 2018.

“The pilots of ATI have heavily invested in growing the airline since Amazon operations began in 2015,” said Capt. Mike Sterling, chair of the ATI ALPA Master Executive Council. “While ATI is the largest Amazon air carrier in the world, our pilots receive the lowest pay rates and retirement benefits of any other pilot flying a Boeing 767 for Amazon. We deliver unmatched reliability, yet we receive less-than-stellar compensation for our performance.”

According to the ATI ALPA MEC, the goal of the current bargaining effort is to solidify a market-based contract that meets our members’ focused priorities of enhanced retirement benefits and pay rates with targeted quality-of-life improvements.

In January 2024, ATI pilots formally requested that the National Mediation Board release them to self-help, which for pilots means a legal strike. In November 2023, 99.7 percent of ATI pilots voted in favor of authorizing a strike when legally permitted.

This is why Amazon adopted the regional airline model instead of the FedEx/UPS model. ATI is one provider in the Amazon portfolio. If ATI wants to get more money out of Amazon, Amazon will just move the flying to another provider and the race to the bottom continues. Unfortunately for the ATI pilots the paint doesn’t match the paycheck

Unfortunately, the folks at ATI are in a tough spot with the whole whipsaw-regional model. But this raises an important point.

One issue that’s often taken a backseat in these discussions is: scope, codesharing, and now the two-pilot flight deck. These are critical concerns that deserve just as much focus as pay and work rules.

Contract language on these topics is key to securing our long-term job security.

Don't overlook them. No one knows what the future holds.

Totally agree with the frustration but don’t just vent here. Call your reps. Let them know directly that the membership expects more. We need visible pressure tactics like billboards, media outreach, and base-wide coordination.

If we sit back, we’re complicit in the union’s inaction. Make your voice heard and remind them: we’re not paying dues to be ignored. It’s time to turn up the heat.

Call your reps. Blow up their phones. Demand real action.
