It's a net of zero aircraft. Also said 10% growth in capacity, so that will come from higher utilization.

Not by the time you retire. Our last greatest chance just vanished overnight. We will easily be able to cover the attrition/growth now.

The company is clearly distressed so anything more than the 10% raise offered will be stonewalled until we can get close to a strike.

What’re the odds we ever get a LAX/ONT base?

My guess, slim to never. I never say never because it usually isn’t a good take on things, but this place has a problem. Clearly with us returning 24 aircraft and not making money adding another base just because we fly to it doesn’t seem realistic. Then you add in all the labor laws that you deal with in California and I just don’t think indigo wants to deal with it. But who knows, we still have CLE open and CVG which I never thought would last this long.

JD has ideas and has spoken about what he sees and what needs to be fixed. But that still remains to be seen. It’s one thing to talk about, it’s entirely different thing to put it into practice. So no I don’t foresee a LAX/ONT base anytime soon if at all. If that’s what you want try and go to a legacy. It’s much easier in your life that way you’re not wondering when the base will close.

It has been pretty much 2 months since he took over... You won't see change in a multi billion $ corporation that quickly.

But yeah, I dont foresee a LAX/ONT base anytime soon.

This forum is mind boggling.

A month ago it was which base are we going to be closing?

Now it’s which base are we opening next?

I didn’t say I expect anything to happen overnight. I just said it remains to be seen. But as with anything else here, we hear a lot of BS and it never happens. Just like those first class seats that were supposed to be in the plane already. Or the infamous WiFi that seems to ever be elusive. Reality is hoping for change at F9 is like hoping to win the lottery. The odds are infinitely against you.

I heard the only reason we are still waiting on our first class seats is that the seat belts weren’t approved and we needed an STC. Can anybody else ascertain the truth to that rumor?

WiFi has never been officially announced so that is not especially surprising. It’s barely even officially announced that we are looking into it.

As far as rumors that haven’t come true the only one that hasn’t come true to my knowledge is the base closure one. Yet. Praise Vishnu. What other official rumors haven’t come true?
