I'm really glad we've spent 3 pages talking about the new hire bases...

I'm also curious what bases were awarded for the last class. FFTpilots only has new hire bases from last spring.

]Last two classes got a splattering of everything, minus TPA and PHX.

Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The predictions on the first page of this thread are probably about right.

Seniority goes by DOB (Oldest being the most senior). If you’re a bit younger that last three bases award to the previous new hires were SJU, CHI, PHL.

Do you have specific questions about bases?

Good to hear class seniority is based on age since I'm older. I'm hoping to get ATL or DFW since those are the easiest commutes. Chicago wouldn't be that bad since I'm familiar with the area. I'll move to a base once my daughter finishes school and I figure out where my career will be long-term.

Word is ATL is where the growth will be for the future so you should be okay. Probably not right out of the gate but relatively quickly.

Chicago gets a lot of flak for being a dual base but the reality is MDW hardly sees flying compared to ORD. Things could change but every SWA dominated airport we’ve tried weve mostly failed… OAK, BUR, BNA, HOU, BWI, STL. Limited success in MDW, ISP, ONT.

Unless you have a class in the next month, things change here so fast it’s not even worth asking. What ever openings there are posted on DocuNet with the bid.

I bid my base, got my pick first time around and there’s already a dozen people junior to me in less than a month

We just announced a new CEO. We have been bleeding cash over the last 5 years. My guess is everything is currently up in the air and we are about to see a bunch of changes.

I highly doubt the failed business model of the past couple years continues.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see bases realigned and maybe even see some bases closed. We will see. But our current trajectory and business model is unsustainable.

Random question, but based on your experience, which base gets the most LAX overnights?
