IMHO, CD is grossly disconnected from line operations, but he is so far up management's a$$ that he's probably the most likely candidate. KW would be the best choice,

CD is the best ever at kissing the chocolate starfish of those above him. If you are one of the mere peasants below, watch out.

Really? I actually think he is not bad. Also the new MCO and PHL chiefs seem ok as well. At least they are very experienced.

Yeah, same... Idk why people dislike CD so much.

I haven't talked to him a ton, but when I do, he seems alright.

Other CPs are definitely good picks.

he’s fine on the technical side. It’s some other things you should ask around about.

I’m sure he’ll be fine. Give him a chance is fair

Right. Being a CP is an exercise in HR. I guess we will see how it goes.

CP is the worst job at the office. All the pilots see you as managment, the rest of management sees you as one of the pilots, and don't get me started on the CMO. You're constantly getting it from all sides. I wish him all the luck, I wonder if he knows what he's getting in to.

Maybe i got it wrong but what exactly is the CPO doing that is so adversarial to the pilot group? My interactions w/ the CPO have all been business like and rather benign - in fact, DH out in Vegas is a GREAT DUDE!!! And, I remember a system CP a few years back that essentially resigned over an issue the company wanted him to advocate but what happened? He was given some "special" job and a different CP was brought in to tote the company line. With this company, it's just a matter of time before they find someone to think like they do.

I don't know if CD is that guy but I'm more concerned with what we're losing with him vacating his current position than what might happen while he's the CPO.
