You're speculating on a merger and CBAs with nothing more than what you hope happens, not what any data or history supports. SWA, on the other hand, has superior market share and it's locked down. They're on track for a major international expansion. They have a long history of treating people like human beings. etc etc.. I really don't care what seat I'm sitting in so long as there's financial security for my family. What's more important to you? Your ego's desire to play captain or your family's well-being? To each their own... good luck

That FO makes more than you, an Airbus CA. If you think a new NK contract will rival SWA's contract, there's some ocean front property in Montana you should consider buying.

Meh, maybe maybe not. I made $170 last year. (Could have made way more if I was a complete *****) I'm sure there are plenty of SWA F/Os made more, some that didn't. Doesn't change the fact that I don't want to work there. The problem with Spirit is you have to work the system to get paid and our retirment sucks. SWA retirment is **** too

Yeah, fair point.
I will say for someone looking to start right now at F9, NK, or SW, I think SW would be better. Keep in mind SW holds a record... 45+ years flying and 0 pilot furloughs. Not after 9/11, not after the 2008-2010 recession. Stability is worth it's weight in gold and SW definitely seems to have done something right. I know we can't predict aviation, but still based on past performance I see SW around long term. Sometimes you just cant put a price on stability.
