Not to mention this company will do anything to not pay us. They are stepping over dollars to save pennies. I’m hearing that they are going to cut back block hours in January to the tune of 1600+ hours because we don’t have enough pilots!!! And you still think you want to come here?

If the reduction in block hours rumor is true while we’re growing our fleet that is proof that the company would rather shrink and possibly even go out of business than pay us. Anyone thinking that eventually this will get better should look no further than this. If block hours decrease in January as our fleet grows, that’s clear to me that there’s little hope for industry standard. As a matter of fact if we get released I wouldn’t be surprised if Frontier let it go on until we as a group caved or forced the company to close its doors. They’ve already got their money and then some. They can just take the planes and move them to another airline in the Indigo portfolio.

I’ve said that while I wouldn’t do it today, I don’t regret leaving my regional 2+ years ago to come here. I’m starting to think that I now do.

I failed to mention that the ALPA email also makes it very clear, and doesn’t mince words that they do NOT expect anything fruitful to come from this new mediation session.

The official ALPA message to pilots already on property at F9 is quite blunt: this place is NOT going to get better. Get out any way you can. Even a senior captain will be better off financially by going to any of the nine airlines listed previously.

Why were we not made aware that they met with the company regarding the upcoming negotiations and why haven't we been provided details of what was discussed?

We just were. As for what was discussed, read between the lines. I’m not trying to be condescending. It’s all there. I think it’s pretty decent clear that the company still expects us to be willing to wipe away our work rules in exchange for Spirit (or slightly lower) rates.

This is normal before mediated sessions and I would imagine they discussed remaining open sections. Sounds like theres really nothing to report because the company isn't really offering anything and it wouldn't surprise me at all if they asked for more concessionary language. Ill bet they up their number (228 I believe it what it was in april?) and continue going down the concessionary language and pref bid path. If you really want to know it did say call or email at the end of the update.

I'm going to say the day after we sign a new contract. But that's just my opinion, pilot to pilot.
