For November, Chicago had an average line of 77.6 hours of credit and 15.5 days off. Lots of 1 day trips, and then 4 and 5 day trips.
Apple vacation flying is not really a factor any more. All flying is out of ORD. No Midway flying.

I have actually, not long ago. I'm aware of the damage done by USAPA (they made the IBT look organized), but as he put it, "[he] would have been no better off if [he had] had gone to United when [he] had a chance and spent a decade under a bankruptcy contract." He seemed pretty happy with his position in life.
I'll grant you that the Westies are all in a good spot now, but they've had to go through 10 years of pretty low pay to get there.
---Break---
Got an F9 interview next month. We'll see.

While I certainly applaud your friend's outlook on life, I'm sure for everyone like him you could find 3 more whose take on it might be a little different.

"10 years" is sort of the same thing as a decade, correct? And the folks who were either on furlough or under a bankruptcy contract we can assume made "low pay", correct? So just to be clear, because you just reiterated my quote from the America West pilot, W-T-F is your point?
And good luck in your interview {no sacasm intended}.

In Other news, we've flown the 321 for 3 days and still no tail strikes, so that's good..

My point was simply that I'm sure not everyone had they same perspective on the whole deal as your friend, as evidenced by the torrent of acrimony on this and other boards.
Thanks. It sounds like fun flying.
I'm weighing all the pros and cons. I'm about to upgrade at my current shop, and have had some good feedback from recruiters from a certain Blue airline. We'll see.
