Had a long career at United (30+).

I wish I could tell everybody I had it planned since I was five...I didn't. Blind luck plus a number of factors panning out positive...you stick your finger in the air and hope the wind remains favorable or changes to favorable if it is not.

Best of luck to everybody.

Really wish there was a like button...more truer words could not have been spoken.

Um, maybe you should ask a Westie about how much money he's lost due to USAPA and whether or not he'll be able to make it back before he retires before making broad statements like that.

I have actually, not long ago. I'm aware of the damage done by USAPA (they made the IBT look organized), but as he put it, "[he] would have been no better off if [he had] had gone to United when [he] had a chance and spent a decade under a bankruptcy contract." He seemed pretty happy with his position in life.

Hey now! That article is almost 2 months old. I'm guessing we've moved up to #1 on that list by now!

Ill be joining Frontier for an upcoming class. Can someone tell me a little bit about Chicago? Schedules, days off, Apple vacation flying? Appreciate it!

Congratulations and welcome!

For November, Chicago had an average line of 77.6 hours of credit and 15.5 days off. Lots of 1 day trips, and then 4 and 5 day trips.

Apple vacation flying is not really a factor any more. All flying is out of ORD. No Midway flying.

While I certainly applaud your friend's outlook on life, I'm sure for everyone like him you could find 3 more whose take on it might be a little different.

I'll grant you that the Westies are all in a good spot now, but they've had to go through 10 years of pretty low pay to get there.

---Break---

Got an F9 interview next month. We'll see.
