Kinda like arguing over who's got the best double-wide as far as I'm concerned.
(For those of you who might be unfamiliar with the term, "double-wide" is a version of a mobile home (trailer) where two individual trailers are parked side by side and joined down the middle to form a bigger home.)

LOL. That's funny stuff right there! No need to start a whose better than whom F9/NK argument. I think the fascination is that it would instantly create a larger company, better suited to compete with the big boys. It just doesn't seem necessary RIGHT now. Both companies are growing and doing well on there own.

I think the biggest benefit of merging the two would be to become too large of a target for WN to acquire or merge. I would rather do gay porn than work for Southwest and hope to some higher power we can keep that from happening.

Who cares? Do you really care? If it happens what are you going to do?

I'm not sure why anyone would be against merging with WN. Beyond getting a large pay raise, there would be instant QOL improvements, west coast bases, and management team that cares more than the one we have.

Ask the AirTran pilots that were bumped back to the right seat and forced to commute to one of those west coast bases what they think about the merger with Southwest.
Plus the 737 sucks office wise, compared to the Airbus.
No thanks.

Having to shoehorn myself into a tight, uncomfortable cockpit for the next 27 years while commuting to Oakland waiting for my 20 year upgrade? Thanks, but no thanks.
