Default Captains authority is just that

the bottom of the page I cited is the END of the discussion. The CPO has tried a number of times to twist it otherwise, to know avail.
I.e. A few republic pilots being booted for being a bit sassy....educate yourself...the Captain has FINAL AUTHORITY.....keep repeating....welcome to Frontier

I would like to apologize for the a$$. We all have our quotas. Honestly, I would say 99.9% of the F9 pilots are awesome with the jump seat and do not have stupid egos nor do they get so bent out of shape with who has FINAL AUTHORITY over the use. If you're world revolves around being "big captain", it tells me you have serious confidence issues.

I see a lot of back and forth about jumpseat BS in here. Anything interesting about hiring info? How is QoL at Frontier, what is your senior base, what does the hiring picture look like through the end of the calendar year?

The guys beating their chests on the Internet are usually the quietest, meekest guys in real life who have trouble making eye contact...

The April class had 16 in it. I'm in the May 9 class. We were told that they want to try to hire 22/month for a quite a while. We're starting a contact list for folks who'll be in the May 9 class.

Frontier is hiring full speed ahead. We have a lot of planes on order and really start growing quickly in the second half of the year. Currently, new hires can quickly get any of the 3 bases. For the last few months, I think everyone has gotten the base they wanted within the first vacancy after getting their initial domicile award in training. You might have to commute for a month or 2 and then you should be able to hold any domicile.

Lots of speculation that we will open a western domicile within a year. Most people think it'll be Vegas.

Upgrades are running pretty quick, about 2 to 2.5 years. Orlando and Chicago are both fairly equally junior for captain, and Denver captain can be had in about the day you turn 65.

Anyone hired since 2008 shouldn't expect to be able to hold a captain slot in Denver for a very long time. We are super top heavy here. There are about 280 crews in Denver while only 90 or so each in Chicago and Orlando. With the plan I believe to grow them both to 150 by the end of the year. I'm going to guess we are mirroring Spirit with new pilot domicils. More, but smaller bases. Around 150 crews. I think that's about what they have. Spirit guys can correct me if I'm wrong.
Denver flying might grow a little bit, maybe 10-15% but not enough to create new captain vacancies. Last April we had close to 330 crews in Denver. We are growing a lot but it's all in the bases other then Denver and there are very few retirements coming up. I'd guess we have fewer then 15 guys in Denver who are over 60.
