“The F9 community”? “How much homework should we do”? GFY. I’m an F9 pilot, I AM the community. Take your “we” and shove it up your a$$.
I get the feeling our NC wasn’t as thorough as they needed to be in some areas and this was a question that was meant to help me validate or disprove that belief. If other airlines stipulate the company will pay for new hire hotels it’s one benefit that helps recruit individuals that might otherwise not apply to a place that doesn’t. I just hope that we start providing that benefit whether it’s spelled out in the contract or not. I’ve talked to several people in the past that would be great hires that refused to apply because of a hokey caveat like having to pay for their own lodging during training.
Mr (or Mrs) Keg, if you're at F9 already, I can only imagine why you'd be asking about other airlines' hotel policies. What's even more disturbing is the fact that despite YOU being at F9 and not knowing, you expect others of us to know - and tell you?
I won't tell you to GFY or suggest you do things to certain body parts because I'm not 12 years old, but I will reiterate the need for you - just like any potential new hire - to go research. In the appropriate place.
You wouldn't go to Burger King to ask about the special sauce used by McDonald's...

Net gain of 15 airplanes in 2019
Unless they reworked leases on older airplanes, the net gain of 15 is assuming nearly every old plane on property goes away next year.
Virtually all birds with the old wing fences is being returned next year. There will be no more 319s so enjoy them while they last

Can’t wait. Nothing like a thrust-bump t/o out of Vegas in the summer, followed by a 700fpm climb while unable to comply with the 220kt restriction on the STAAV because you’ll be below green dot.
