If you are going to treat your new hires like they have less worth to you than they had to their previous employers while asking that they put their career advancement on hold for the sake of pilot unity they have every right to laugh in your faces and do what's best for them and theirs.

The basis of unionism is UNITY. Screwing over your junior people with substandard first year pay because you want all the money that's available to go to those who are already working there is not the way to build unity. It's no different than the management screwing the rest of you over to the maximum extant they can get away with.

You want unity? Treat your new hires as valuable additions to your team, not as sacrificial pawns between you and management.

But castigating them for wanting to further their careers and then expecting them to do you a favor by holding off putting in their applications? That just makes you look selfish and entitled. And weasel-worded statements like "but if I remember right we agreed “at the companies discretion” they can raise it up to 90% of year 2 pay."

You know that isn't right. You wouldn't phrase it that way if you didn't. You are trying to pretend you aren't complicit in screwing the first year FOs but who do you think you are trying to kid? You KNOW that's no way to treat these people. And if that's the way the pilot group treats their own from day one, it's no wonder the unity is lacking. Your telling them from the get-go that it's every man for himself.
Could not agree more.

Who gives af? Any who do now won’t stay long, as they are obviously blatant chaser$. I.e. irrelevant to our situation, as the mysterious AIP timing has ZERO to do with class sizes, and everything to do with an impending IPO, as many (dracir, Gary et al, ReserveCA) pointed out some time ago.

Just saying.

I'm pretty sure the junior guys stuck on reserve or wanting to bid to a different domicile care. Or guys that want to upgrade.

Just saying

Default Hiring

I write this with some fear and trepidation:

I know it’s not the best time in some folks eyes to be applying to Frontier (contract negotiations and management team). However, the timing is right for applying for family and professional life, and I’m doing so with the hopes of better things on the horizon.

Now with that said, what’s the timeline for hearing back after publishing on AirlineApps? Does the multi eng req also apply to single engine mil (F16, U2, F35, PC-12)?

Thanks for any feedback.

Don't worry and do what is best for you. We are not striking and as long as you are aware of the current state here...

I'd expect a few weeks. Heard we had an influx of apps since the AIP was announced.

A lot of people were just waiting for a break in the stalemate. They also look at Spirit and figure if they can get in before the wave, it’s puts them in a very good position for the future.

Default Multi eng mins

Frontiers hiring requirements indicate 750 min MEL

When searching single engine mil, Epic Flight Academy says 750 hrs of single engine mil will be considered. Is that limited to the F-16? Or would it also include the U-2?

so what? Im sure you have at least the commercial MEL that everyone gets via written test after graduating UPT, and you don't need to get your ATP on a MEL, so just go find someone to give you a warm up ride in some cheap ME and take your ATP practical, assuming you don't already have it.
