Unfortunately at this place it’s CYA!
Cite the CBA where it stipulates signing the release. Or a JS form. Or the numerous times in the logbook.

I can’t sign it because it isn’t status quo, so they’ll need an LOA to get us to do anything.

10% is not enough for a check airman. I'm not saying anything about our new hires. It's not enough at ANY airline.

If he or she does a decent job and is willing to learn, of course I'll sign it. If they can't fly for sh## and keep making the same mistakes, I'll remove them or myself from the trip.

Basically, what this memo is saying, is that we are going to be attracting less qualified talent than Legacy Air lines and "the Majors." So they want us to mentor them and give them enough gold stars like a kindergartener.

Oh please. At my old regional you needed 12 in your first year. Delta you need one from every captain you fly with first year. I think it’s good practice to keep an eye on new people and it also protects the new people from a bad rep if they have one off day or one person doesn’t like them. I for one think it’s good practice.

This is not a limited time offer, but will be offered for the foreseeable future.
Frontier would be good interview practice, but if you accept an offer you know your are at rock bottom and are completely broken in your professional career. I can’t think of a worse place to be employed. The only reason I can see someone accepting the job is if they want a management position. although upgrade is three plus years, you can be a chief pilot in two years with no prior management experience.
