Anyone know why they didn’t run a VSA for July? I heard they hired 20+ guys. Maybe it’s a sign they’re backed up in sims and don’t expect them to be put on the line by October?

New hires will have a very short leash now. This new Pilot Peer Program will keep you in check. I guess there have been a few failing out lately.
Here is just a sample of the new program.
The goal of the Pilot Peer Review program is to provide oversight and guidance to new-hire / probationary First
Officers through evaluation of six criteria to include:
- Flying in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Pilot duties (i.e. walk-around, Pilot Flying/Monitoring)
- Knowledge (FAR’s, Flight Operations Manuals, etc.)
- Crew Resource Management (CRM)
- Professionalism
- Appearance (i.e. uniform standards and overall appearance)
The success of the program rests within the hands of the largest stakeholders, the Pilots. Open and honest
feedback allows us to ensure the success of our Pilot group. A brief Program Overview includes:
- First Officer’s will be required to obtain three (3) New Hire Pilot Reviews from Captains with whom
they have flown within six (6) months from date of hire.
- After obtaining three reports, no later than 6 months, the First Officer will meet with their respective
Base Chief Pilot to review their peer reports.
- Base Chief Pilots will, in person, review performance standards and expectations with corrective
actions and/or commendations and determine if subsequent meetings are required at nine (9) months

Also did ANYONE notice the line; “In the next decade, Frontier Airlines will be growing and facing the challenge of having a junior seniority group compared to major and legacy airlines.”
...major and legacy airlines...
Our own chief pilot doesn’t see frontier as a major airline. He could have said other majors but he didn’t. Just that one little oversight said more than any pep memo could.
If you aren’t here, look elsewhere. If you are here get your paper in order.
