If flying outside of the airline remember you have to apply those hours to your Rest and flight hour limits. The Millitary is the only exception I know that is not counted against those limits. The airline won't allow it since it won't be able to keep track of your legality.

It's hard to prove a negative. Can you point me to a page number reference where Frontier prohibits outside commercial flying? I can't find any such language in FOM 1 or 2 so I'm hoping you can provide a citation for your assertion.

I am not grasping what exactly this is saying: (from VOL I, p. 141, 142)

"Cumulative flight duty period [and flight time] limitations include all flying conducted on behalf of any certificate holder or 91K Program Manager (e.g., corporate jet operations) during the applicable periods.
NOTE: If a pilot engages in commercial flying with another air carrier or 91K Program Manager, they must report their flight time and duty periods to the Frontier Airlines Chief Pilot via e-mail. These times will be shared with Crew Scheduling to ensure no limit is exceeded."

How is this interpreted by F9 regarding CFI work? How does FAPA interpret it? "91K" and "any certificate holder" does not sound like CFI work to me. Also, the CBA seems to be mute on the CFI subject.

I'm guessing it has more to do with making ends meet while on first year pay than not having a life.

I let my CFI expire my last year of college. I was addressing an issue raised by someone else. Get a life? Really??

This is why I very rarely get on this website anymore. Used to be good to help people out who really want to work here. Flight instructing, volunteering for EEA to get on United waste of time to even be engaged in! Go to the welfare department to supplement your first year pay. Next person, should prepare financially to take a hit on first year pay wherever you go. Plain and simple!

By the way if you want to fly a citation, or flight instruct on the side don't put it in your master logbook for legality purposes.
