I am a new hire pilot with Frontier and planning to commute for the first year. Between ORD and MCO, which base is better for commuting as far as trips and flexibility are concerned? Also, if I defer a parking pass in base, will Frontier reimburse me for a parking pass at my hometown airport (up to a certain amount) instead? Thanks for the info.

Frontier only provides parking for your base, period. Hopefully the new contract will get that changed to make it easier for the commuters.
Any chance you live close to MKE? Commuting outta MKE to either MCO or DEN is a snap. MKE has commuter parking passes available for $369/year and it's about a 55 minute drive from ORD to MKE. There's also a train between the two.

Thanks for the reply guys. I am actually a New Orleans guy. Currently corporate, former eagle. I am hoping for MCO, but after glancing at the ORD and MCO bid packet I am having second guesses as to what may be best. I was hoping that they had full red eye lines...for the commutable times, but it looks like the red eye sequence only happens once or twice in the month. Do they ever have lines that are only red eyes? Do they go senior? How long is reserve in MCO? I didn't realize ORD was a year. Sorry for playing 20 questions!

I used poor wording in my first post. I am not looking to commute between ORD and Denver. I was trying to figure out of those two bases, which was more commuter friendly. However, if RSV is shaping up to be a year in ORD, that may make the decision easier! Thanks for the welcome guys!

I agree with all the guys or gals above. Pick MCO! When they open up LAS or West coast base, that will only help you out of MCO gain seniority that much quicker. West coast base will go relatively senior behind DEN.
If F9 picks PHL, then choose it. That would then be the most junior base.
