Exactly. I'm very skeptical of our orders. We have a hard enough time keeping our schedules straight as it is.

I had that thought as well. Initially I wrote off that thought because Enerjet (soon to be "FlyToo") operates 737s, but then I realized they currently operate ONE 737 (in total); which makes their fleet choice a bit more flexible!

Indigo won't be needing all those new Airbii for Frontier once the sale to Southwest is completed. The Airbus aircraft will be transferred to their Canadian operation. (as long as we are speculating!).

Indigo will be buying back or reacquiring Airbus aircraft from Southwest as they are replaced with Boeings.

Uugghhhh.

The only thing your guts are saying is you have a stomach ache, you boys go take some Pepto Bismol.

The only thing this tells me is Indigo will need even more aircraft from Airbus. Which in turn puts F9 in an even better purchase price situation.

Let's also not forget Indigo makes money every time they take delivery of an Airbus. So, fantastic, let's get the ball rolling in Canada.

Quit being a bunch of negative nancies.

I tend to agree. Not without a lot of changes.

Well, I don't see it. When they built up Spirit they had other airline investments, and they didn't transfer any airplanes away Spirit. The bigger F9 gets, the more money for an IPO, the more money for a sale, etc.
They claim F9 is a cash cow, so why divert resources away from it? Yes there is opprtunity up North, but plenty here too.

Yep. Remember the entire point of business; profit and growth. You don't get those from diverting orders away from a profitable airline to start a new project. They could use frontiers profits to invest in a new airline, but you don't grow by sacrificing a current investment. That's not how you achieve growth. They want Frontier as big as possible, with lots of forecast growth to rev up an IPO. If they diverted orders to an upstart, their hopes of a multi Billion dollar IPO would be down the toilet.

I understand they lack of faith in our growth, given the history of our industry, but think about it from a business point of view. They want to be big.

I agree with Aero. This new airline is being started from scratch, so profits are not 100% guarantee. At the moment F9 is a cash cow for them, why would they end that?

I sure hope you guys are correct. I just don't see them being able to handle it. We shall see though. Hopefully I'm eating crow in a couple of years.
