Mesaba was an aquisition, GoJets was not. GoJets was specifically created to get around paying more for larger airplanes. It's a completely different situation.

Those places are legitimate operations and we all know that regionals get passed around like cheap hookers, we all know that's the game we play. That is not the point. GJ/TSA issue is different. It would be like Fedex starting a certificate called GoFedex and make it a separate airline to get around a union CBA. Apparently all you need is a separate website and separate office spaces in the SAME BUILDING and call the employees "holding employees" to make it a "legal" alter ego.

So I guess its ok (by your standards) to transfer high paying Comair jobs to lower paying Mesaba jobs. That says a lot.

No I did not say that. Please don't put words in my mouth. You are comparing two COMPLETELY different situations. The DCI shuffle game is the unfortunate result of being a contract carrier. I know it sucks, but Mesaba was not created by DAL management purely for the purpose of circumventing Comair's contract. You are talking about something completely different, and I think you're letting personal feelings get in the way of you analysis.

I think you're missing his point. His point is that comair and mesaba are two separate companies... TSA and Gojet are only "separate" as a technicality. They share the same freaking building, the same mx staff, etc etc... Tell me, are comair and mesaba owned by the SAME PERSON??? You guys need to stop comparing apples to oranges. It's a unique situation. It's not the same as dealings between separate entities...

Forgive my ignorance but is comair wholly owned by Delta? I thought they were spun off several years ago. Either way, I'm still not sure that's the same because they're part of the NEW DELTA whereas Mesaba was a Northwest airlink who just happened to become part of the new delta along with mommy.

I agree the DCI shuffle isn't the same as gojet/TSA. I also agree that the roll over and die approach isn't the right one. To RJS Aviator -I'm a twenty something and there's no sin in being young. Maybe the industry needs our youthful passion to have any chance at getting back the concessions that were given.....

Comair is owned by Delta. You are right Sir.

The DCI shuffle is not at all like the TSA/Gojet scandal. TSA/Gojet is about management successfully circumventing a legit union. The problem is that people are willing to work for Gojet-- adding to the degradation of our profession.
