Apparently mine was deleted for what reason? All I said was Carl isn't a crybaby, isn't a union guy, and doesn't work for any of the three tsh companies. I don't think that violated any terms of service.

WarpSpeed 03-14-2013 05:28 PM

My take on Carl is that he just wants a 'brotherhood' of airlines pilots. Id like that too, but it's obvious that it's every man for himself without regard to anyone else for most of us. And the sense of entitlement, don't even get me started on that....

Be smart about what you quote in the future.
If you quote something that is likely to be deleted, then your post in which you use that material is likely to be deleted too.

I just figured the bar is set pretty low on a GoJet thread for what gets deleted.

Because the Delta owned CRJ's are trash! I feel sorry for whomever gets those birds. To whoever gets thos CRJ's, Delta is handing you a sh*t sandwich and you are all going to have to take a bite. :)

SO it is true that GoJet will be losing some airframes then?

Too much victim mentality. This isn't Delta's problem. It's solely that of the operator, in this case G7. GoJet has had over a year to get their operation running for DL.

Is it not the responsibility of a bidder to ensure that their price and support systems (maintenance, in this case) are adequate to cover cost and to actually provide the services they intend to deliver? It's nice to put in the 'low' bid and gain a chunk of flying, but anyone who has ever provided a bid in any industry knows that the 'best-case' costs and circumstances figured at time of bidding almost never can be achieved. The age and history of the ex-Comair fleet is known....several of these aircraft even flew for EV. It's not as if these aircraft came from overseas with suspect documentation.

I'm sure here at OO we can handle them just fiiiine. ;)

Ultralight 03-17-2013 12:07 PM

Wait, you mean to tell me that Delta wants Comair service for Gojet prices?

I want prime rib for the price of a big mac.

Another I'm a victim and blame others mentality that is so prevalent in society today.

Skywest and ASA maintained and flew those birds just fine before they headed to GoJet

Is it true that GoJet can defer the nose wheel steering?

You work for a **** bag bottom feeding airline with a horrible contract, why would you expect your management to invest in proper mx if they don't invest in anything else in the operation?

I hope your choice to go to GoJetssss was worth it!

Is GoJet's contract that bad? Out of all the people hiring it doesn't look too out of wack. Seems anyone with a better contract isn't hiring or has been one of the airlines to recently fold or have financial problems/uncertainty. Republic's contract is known to be bad, Trans States bad, Eagle uncertain future, Commutair bad, Horizon stagnant growth/future, Silver bad, Great Lakes bad, SkyWest not hiring. Not too many good choices left except maybe ExpressJet, but everyone cannot work there.

Slats 03-18-2013 06:34 AM

Compass, Seaport, Ameriflight ect... There's always alternatives

1 - It's less than what the airplanes/pilots are worth pay wise but the devil's in the details and work rules. It's been a while for me but I'm thinking it's about the same as the old TSA contract....which sucked equine unmentionables for reserves.

2 - Yes

3 - The old contract was pretty crap-tastic but the new one at least bumped the pay for the torture you got :)

4 - Thought this was about contracts ;)

5 - Whatchu talkin' bout ese?

6 - Indubitably my good chum!

7 - Damn, I missed my chance! I even had the "Once dated a Mormon girl" card I could have played!

8 - I think "The Barbie and Ken staffed airline" will never stop hiring. Air Wilson is still hiring, along with Pretty Small Airline, and maybe even "ASA"

RgrMurdock 03-18-2013 07:59 AM

TSA's contract isn't horrible. Pay got better (average if not better than that for airplane type). 401k got better (still not great). Leg by leg cancellation pay (an amazing thing). Medical is still not great and reserve rules still need some work but reserve isn't great at most places I can think of. If we had somewhat better 401k and trip rig duty rigs, I think we wouldn't be too bad off. Plus the change at the DO position has made a lot of things seems like night and day. Now if only we could get a new FSDO

WarpSpeed 03-18-2013 09:59 AM

Barbie and Ken staffed airline? Who? I'm really out of the loop.

Those airplanes that came from ASA were in horrible condition. Even the FAA commented on how bad they were. There were even some AD's that had never even been done. From the condition of the planes from ASA I would say they have some very scary maintenance. I could be wrong as I don't blame ASA for not taking care of aircraft that they knew they would be losing but they came over in a horrific state of disrepair.

The airplanes that G7 flys for United that are owned by G7 don't have any of the issues that the Delta side has. Same maintenance, so much for your theory.

Per the contract, TSA gets the first 10 of 50. Where the other 40 go, who the hell knows, or cares. :-)

Hey Carol, you never answered my question. When did you get hire at TSA, wasn't after the GoJet thing started?
