An interview with "get to know you" type questions? Wow, maybe it's just me but an interview should be an in depth knowledge/ personality/ decision making process. Not a ho hum so, tell me about a time you had to fight your way out of a wet paper bag type of questions.

My interview with a legacy contained quite a few TMAAT questions. TMAAT questions absolutely cover one's personality and decision making process abilities. For instance, TMAAT you failed as a leader. This tests one's personality. Can this individual admit fault? Is he/she too proud to do so? Did he/she learn anything from it? Or TMAAT you made the wrong decision?

If you're curious about more, I encourage you to read Checklist for Success by Cheryl Cage. You'll learn a lot.

I don't need a professional banner tower lecturing me about "knowledge" and "experience". My logbook and my passport speak 'millions' about my knowledge and experience. A good HR interviewer knows this and can get around all the BS.

TMAAT questions are stupid and prove nothing.

I am done with this 'Slats'.

I'm confused. Slats feels TMAAT questions are silly. So do you agree or disagree with him?

I see the quicktake on APC now says "not hiring."

I heard the sim is tied up with the development of a new training program.

As much as former (and current TSA) hate us G7 guys, we know you hate our soon to be ex CP more.

The offical line (and associated memos) say he resigned to fly the line.

We do have our own forum. It's the GoJet updates thread. And if we aren't cool, why are you here?

vagabond 03-26-2013 01:57 PM

Mod Note:

So Mr. vagabond and I got back home from a most wonderful vacation in SAN. I'm going to post about our fun experience in a thread in the Hangar.

Being back also means I am using my desktop and have full access to all the tools available to me as a moderator. :)

Here's another admonition - stay on track, don't flamebait, don't insult others, don't troll, don't do any of the nasties that I've been warning you guys about since 2007.

This is a/the thread for updates on GoJet.

Wait I thought that GoJets D.O. and chief pilot (atleast 1 of them) were former Comair guys??

SB or MR??? Both are douche bags of the highest order and cannot be trusted to have any pilots back....

SB is the DO. MR is a street captain captain.

This place has really become Comair's next step.....

Ah I see.... Well glad to see MR has to commute from TN to wherever he's based.... Hope he's wearing his hat.... After all he's a professional of the highest order. He's lucky he's still walking after asking my future wife why she was with me because I was just an FO at Comair (back in the heydays of Comair)...

Yes. This guy was a consummate "hole"...

I'm sorry that happened to you.

As you know, with MR, either you love him or you hate him. Not much in between.

Chilly Bear 03-27-2013 04:15 AM

What's the big deal with the hat? It isn't like anyone is forced to work for a company and if you choose to work for one then you agree to abide by their policies.

Our performance seems to be rising.

Anybody see the latest rating list?

I did. We are no longer at the bottom.

Having a mechanic meet at the airplane prior to the first flight is helping.

So...what's new at gojet. This thread has been pushed to page two ;)

No reason to go to gojets now that upgrade at tsa is "as soon as you have the time".

vaporlock1215 04-13-2013 10:04 PM

What happened at TSA...??
Did TSA have a mass exodus of Captains......??

No, but everyone IAD based is holding a line. There is 7 open lines this month uncovered thanks to the new UAL flying. STL based crews are still sitting "reserve" but do fly quite a bit. Upgrade times are very short from what I hear at TSA... within 2 years, or less, if the demand is there, especially once the mainlines open up. TSA doesn't have tooo many lifers around, not nearly as many as other places.

TSA grew by almost a third with one new contract. Those comair guys will begin upgrading in june or july as we run out of FO's with enough time to upgrade.
