If you want to learn how to shoot, buy yourself a good .22 and start buying ammo by the 5,000 round case.

That was the reasoning behind my Savage FV-SR



Seems to show a preference for CCI SV though it shoots 36/40gr Mini-Mags and Winchester Dynapoint GT very well at 50yd as well, and makes an EXCELLENT trainer for its centerfire Savage big brothers.

...now if only the damn BATFE would process my Form 4 a little faster

Crappy iPhone picture of my "middle child" Savage, a 12FV .223 with Vortex Viper HS 5-15x44, ringing steel at 275 and 645yd with Hornady 75gr Steel Match ammo. It'd be even more fun with an 8 twist barrel slinging 80gr A-Max...



And my ultralight deer hammer Remmy 700 Mountain LSS in 260 Remington that cloverleafs 120gr Nosler Ballistic Tips with Varget (though it needed and received 1 MOA right adjustment after this group)
