Wow! STI builds a fine pistol and that is extra special. A 1911 in 9mm is something special and a real treat to shoot.

My 9mm 1911s were made from colt .38 supers and converted with hand fit Bar-Sto barrels, just a ton of fun. Enjoy.

I really like the caliber. I own 3 other pistols in 9mm and my USPSA open gun was 9mm major. Although I shoot limited in .40 this will be for steel challenge, single stack and limited 10.

Besides..the tool head on my dillon 550 is set up for 9.

Anybody here ever used a March scope? I'm not familiar, but I see they have a 80x56. I'm thinking about throwing it on my Savage .17HMR.

That's not a typo...80x. Might be made partly by Hubble.

80 power should do the trick if you also want to spot distant galaxies..

FWIW I had a 4.5-14X50 on an M107 and that scope could reach out and touch someone.

Sorry man. I have a 24x on it now. 80x is the shizz.
I don't have a bunch of expensive hobbies, other than golf and hoarding guns and ammo. This is my new goal - to create the most accurate .17 on the planet.

Can't help but think 80x would be a PITA with mirage...even quality high-power optics like the NightForce 12-42x and Sightron SIII 10-50x can be "too much"...
