It is apparent that no one has the time or inclination to watch 20 minutes of some guy who has made his fortune in the environmental whacko movement preach his sermon. Might I suggest posting videos of topless environmental whackas preaching to us or perhaps a transcript.

If you give me a transcript I can print it out and study it in the can. I promise to recycle it while I am in there.

Ok, long layover and free beer in the admirals club. Tedx video includes absolutely no science. Unless we stop what we are doing earth temp will go up 12 degrees C by 2300 and El Paso will average 180 degrees F. No explanation of frozen Boston Harbor or grapes growing in England. Earth climate has only got up or down 1 degree the last 10,000 years plus or minus an eon. If we dont stop those evil right wingers we are all dead and it is too late to stop it.

I am convinced.

Want me to post some quotes about how the wildfires are made worse because greenies dont allow clearing dead brush away or are eliminating fire roads?

Hey here is a good one:

Did you happen to read any of the responses to the article? Not that it matters but
it doesn't appear that the poster, Wayne Laugesen, is very popular with the local Colorado population.

Laugesen, who considers himself a conservative libertarian...
Wait a minute, the libertarian Laugesen is complaining because government isn't big enough to fight a wild fire in his back yard? Isn't that like Ayn Rand taking Medicare benefits under her married name or Ron Paul receiving Social Security?

Why yes. Yes, it is.

What I realize is the government discourages all reasonable effort to control the spread of wildfires and then says look at global warming is doing. Didnt say the poster was right or popular (although one has nothing to do with the other).

Default Rage Against the Machine

When we abandon science in favor of raving lunatics on utube, there isn't much to be said for the argument.

Industrial Society and Its Future (1995) is a recent expression of Neo-Luddism by Theodore Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber. The manifesto states:

"The industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in 'advanced' countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilled, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world."

'Rage Against the Machine: Re-Visiting Victorian Anti-Industrialists.

April 2012 marks the two hundredth anniversary of one of the most important workers’ movements of nineteenth-century Britain, the Luddites. The phrase ‘Luddite’ is still in popular parlance and means one who is scared of machinery and unable or unwilling to use modern technology. The origins of this pejorative term can be traced back to the spring of 1812 – a moment where historians have traditionally argued that the working class found their political voice.

The Luddites were angered by new technologies, like automated looms, which were being used in the textile industry in place of the skilled work of artisans, threatening their livelihoods as a result. Invoking a mythical leader, ‘Ned Ludd’, the insurgents broke into factories and wrecked the offending equipment. For historians, the revolt has gained in status over the centuries, and is now seen as a watershed moment in the evolution of British popular politics."
/////////////////////////////////

Luddites still exist and still rage against the machinery of man and the cosmos.

We can get back to science whenever you like:http://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/07/0...ly-looks-like/

At least the Luddites were more prudent than the original Saboteurs, who ended up without jobs or shoes.
