Just discovered this site. Lots of fun, some things never change in the pilots lounge.

Default Happy to be here!

Former USN aviator - flew in the SH-2F as an enlisted sensor operator and search-and-rescue swimmer, then got commissioned and flew the SH-60B and UC-12B (King Air 200). Currently flying the King Air 300 as a rotational contract pilot in Afghanistan and Iraq in support of US Army ground operations. Here to listen and learn, and contemplate what sounds fun next. Leaning toward aerial firefighting - either air attack or air tanker - but don't know anyone in that field with whom to network. Anyone want to mentor a wanna-be?

New to the forum. I currently fly a Cessna 421 right seat for a small charter company on Long Island and am currently studying for CFI.

Talking It's now or never!

Hello Everyone!

Like most people, I've been fascinated with everything aviation since I was a child. I Enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and became an aircraft mechanic on fighters. Did that for about 11 years then became a C-17 Loadmaster of which I've been doing ever since. I'm also a licensed skydiver, so I jump out of perfectly good airplanes on my free time. I've come full circle now and started flight training with hopes to get into the airlines in the near future.

I learned about this site a few months ago and I've used it to get information to help start my new path to success. Looking forward to learning as much as I can, while I can!

Long time lurker, but just switched from another account name which wasn't anonymous enough to protect the guilty, for future posting purposes.

Currently fly as CA on a corporate 737 and happy to have this fantastic resource to touch base with other folks from all walks as I look into other opportunities.

Fly safe!

Thank you so much! Welcome to the Community! Haha! Totally, we do protect the anonymity of our users and never ever share w/ anyone [unlike a few other Companies out there.... ], and we do recommend users take extra measures to share their opinions (and rumors!) freely. Thanks for keeping us updated and relevant, we do need your help, and the other users of the Community do need your help too. Nick
