Agreed. My point was that the "if your not coming from previous 121 experience, good luck" comment was assuming that a lot of applicants out there are not trainable, and are also not able to handle the learning curve. An assumption I think is very broad. Also, a comment that pushes the reader to think that the author is sour about not getting a call

So knowing the operation can take you only so far in actually flying the aircraft when "cleared for the visual."
I guess I'm biased, but I believe furloughed 121 ALPA pilots should be given priority over CFI's or 135 guys. I interviewed with all CFI's or 135 guys who interviewed or were given a class in the past so they obviously should have priority over me. But AE is obviously ALPA, so helping guys that are laid off instead of guys that have a job just seems more fitting. Plus 121 guys have already been through 121 training. But I am not in charge of hiring pilots so just my $.02.
I hope to get a class soon. To fly with a respectable regional like AE would be very nice. I miss flying a ton. It sounds crazy but it even felt good to get in the Sim at the interview ha.

A 121 ALPA furlough pilot has the same opportunities as a 135,141 CFI pilot as hiring goes.

They must use an interesting method for selecting interviewees.
