I find it amusing that so many people hate the Q. It's not that bad, it's a plane, just like any other plane. I actually enjoy flying it, and its capabilities are pretty awesome. It throws you some head scratchers and things break on it, but that's when you get to.... be a pilot and build that experience in adverse situations. After all that's what the regionals are for... right?
Don't let equipment be your number one priority, and definitely don't quit an airline because you can't stay in the shiny new jet. Suck it up, upgrade in the Q and get that 121 PIC. Also if you're in the jet now, chances are you're flying with senior guys that will bag on the company, tell you how crappy the Q is and how lucky you are to go right into the jet. They're probably also telling you that upgrading in the Q might lead you to a 121 failure, just don't let it happen. When you go through training study hard and learn the flows and you'll be fine. It will be a lot harder than the jet, but take it as a challenge. That's what I did when I went from Ejet to Q. Granted, right seat in any plane is obviously easier than the left seat transition..

Bag on the company? Welcome kool-aid drinker man, this kool-aids for you regional airline pilot guy. If you mean it’s ok to sign away the very rights that protect individuals from the very crap AAG is ,and has pulled for years is fine then your right, BAG on all knowing Kool-aid guy. The Q is cool and transition, new hire, upgrade. Just study enjoy the ride it’s just an airplane not a big deal people have been doing it for years don’t get wound up, your a pilot and it’s an airplane. Learn it, and work at it ,it’s what we do we fly airplanes if you want something easy be a passenger and find a different line of work. In all seriousness it’s not easy, but if you wanted easy you wouldn’t wanted to be a pilot, hell was getting your private pilots license easy? Put in the time, effort, and don’t listen to the it’s an animal because at end of day it’s just an airplane and yes it is cool.

Wasn't trying to be a Kool-aid drinking guy, actually I'm far from it. Maybe I could have used a better word vs "bag" on the company. But you sure nailed it with that brilliant spin off Bud Light commercial. I bet you came up with that all on your own, so good. You win the internet today

No I’m better at flying I get it just don’t be quick to generalize is all I ask put yourself in the shoes of those before you is all I ask, nobody likes negativity and it gets old especially for those just coming in I just ask you to think a little bit. Have good one

I should have worded it better for sure, I definitely respect and look up to the guys I fly with. Especially being PDX based, I fly with some guys that have been here since the 80's and they have so much knowledge and guidance for us new FO's. Some are grumpy and rightfully so, but to tell someone to quit before taking the Q upgrade has to be the worst advice I've ever heard.

That’s what I thought of as well. Snacky’s picture has resulted in me not so randomly deciding to watch that movie about 4x thus far.
