Truthfully and honestly I bid down to 70 EVERY month, never VDA or RSA. I’m not coming on here throwing stones.

I really feel like we weren’t represented well.
The surveys says we were all represented. Disgusted? You go to your union meetings? You sacrifice like they did? You read all available information? You going to a roadshow?

Actually the bulk of the plot group was represented well. (According to the survey).
I wanted pto sellback gone and hated "saving" for vaca. I now get 2 weeks and can use my ptos to bang in as much as possible.
I will get UTS.
Seriously, I know its a pill to swallow for the sell back guys. You are in the minority, on that point though.
Again, this was all about scope/sched and retirement.
Ive spoken to the reps, read most of the TA (that I could understand),
viewed the videos, and Im comfortable with this TA.
I understand that it is not what everyone expected or wanted; Not sure if that exists.
Good luck to all.

I said WE as a whole not you. There would no where to verify if you were or not...you get to hide. YAY.

It's impossible to make everyone happy. I have the same sentiment about this TA that you do. I've done my homework, math, questions, calls etc, and right now I'll be voting yes. Still have a roadshow to attend just to get a little more familiar before actually voting.

You do realize that most pilots are blind about a great many things. It's the blind leading the blind. However, people are waking up to the misrepresentations of people telling them what to think.

I do agree that people need to read all the available information. Read the TA word for word. There is dangerous language in there and it's missing key protections. Also the pay rates are substandard - we're last again.

Finish it off by reading how the RLA actually works. We're not going to sit back and let people tell us what to think anymore. Knowledge is power. We don't have to accept gross compromises and substandard contracts because people want to scare us into submission. If we vote Yes now, we'll have no legal recourse for protest for any future injustices. We need to VOTE NO, fix some language, then Vote Yes.

So you're ok with a contact that legally obligates you to a completely draconian Dependability Policy that has no hard lines drawn? They can still hang you for whatever they feel like hanging you for. Read the language carefully... I hope you don't have a few bad commutes along with a family member getting sick at the last minute on Christmas Eve.

Did you read the contract or just accept what people have told you?

I read the whole thing with my college reading level glasses and plenty of contract experience behind me. I see dangerous language, glaring omissions, and of course substandard pay.

We need to VOTE NO, fix the contract, then Vote Yes to TA 2.0.

It really is Negotiating 101. It's normal to have a little voice in your head telling you not to turn down a first offer, but it almost always is followed by a better offer. We are setting the tone for the rest of our careers and negotiations at B6 with our vote.
