We were affecting the bottom line more and more every day by many of us just doing our jobs. Jamie Baker downgraded JB due in large part to labor unrest. We had great leverage, and we'd get it back again. JB needs this deal for future airframe purchases. Don't underestimate the power he had, and could have again in a very short period of time.
I’m not saying you’re wrong. But after ten and a half years hear. I’m not sure we truly had the leverage we think we had. I wish we did. Time will tell.

Not picking on you man. You’re a sharp
Dude.

You may be right about the leverage but it was just a feeling I got based on the trends the last few weeks/months leading up the the agreement....but who knows, man...I’m nearly as sharp as I think I am, that’s for sure....lol...

Some people choose to work less and PTO days. Some people choose to work more and not PTO days and sell those PTO hours at premium. It's still more work for more pay, currently.
If we are strictly speaking of intent the idea was you worked your schedule, bid your vacation, miscellaneous PTO when necessary and at the end of the year if you had extra you could sell it back.

It’s morphed into something completely different where pilots are now saving all their PTO in order to sell back 10 hours each month to increase their salary. This was never the intent.

Bunker I think the troops are starving and dehydrated and will accept almost anything. This fact made the NC’s job very difficult and the company knew this. Jetblue knew the analyst were not happy and the negotiators knew almost ANYTHING would pass. This is clearly a compromise on both ends.

One picketing event and they are starving?

More of a cumulative statement than a specific event. I’d love to think we had the unity to push for more but the reality is we don’t. A small percentage of pilots refused to RSA/VDA and just flew SOP. Unfortunately the rest flew jetblue sop. Heck, even the BOS LEC was crediting 100 hours a month. Do as I say, not as I do?

How much were you flying? Care to disclose honestly with your schedule? Glass house?

I’m in the same boat. Disgusted.

I really feel like we weren’t represented well.

I understand most pilots don't sell PTO at premium. They're leaving that pay on the table. By selling it I turn an 82 hour credit month into a 100 credit hour month. Every month, forever. That's what I have been doing. There is no faster way to increase take home pay than to sell PTO at premium.

It's the reason that if you call in sick, take UTO. Then, take two-thirds of it and sell that much PTO: break even. This applies regardless of your PTO accrual or longevity, as long as you have > 100 hours in your PTO bank.

I encourage everyone with the cognitive ability to use a simple four function calculator to calculate his or her own take home pay, and compare it what it will become after implementation. Do it now. When you actually see your actual monthly pay statements next year, it will be too late. Apparently the MEC doesn't have the ability to do that. Perhaps we have a special dues assessment to provide them with calculators.

I'm disgusted.
