Yes, we have pilot attrition, but it has actually slowed down a bit. It is not as bad as other airlines (e.g. Alaska). OSC is/was a complete mess for the last few months, again, due to management failures. This management team has never taken responsibility or accountability for anything, it’s always someone else's fault!

They don’t have to wait for the check. The check was guaranteed for everyone on property the day the loa was signed.
They can leave and still get the check.

Anyone who gives up a class date (Seniority) for a 1 time halfa$$ check is crazy. 1 class can be the difference between upgrade, or not, furlough, or not, someday. 1 PILOT ahead of you can be the difference between holding the cherry trip you want on the monthly bid, or not.
Especially for a guy who only been here a couple years. That little pittance of money isn't worth waiting for and giving up a class date.

But, it's not a halfa$$ check. It's "free" money, as the guy above explained.
