This is what American’s SLI looked like in the end. (Not counting longevity)

Tier 1 777,A330 CA
Tier 2 767,757 CA
Tier 3 737, MD-80, A-320 CA
Tier 4 777,A330 FO
Tier 5 767,757 FO
Tier 6 737, MD-80, A-320 FO
Tier 7 E-190 CA
Tier 8 E-190 FO

The A-220 is an E-190 replacement and will likely be treated as a lower category than an A-320.
You're drunk if you think an aircraft that overlaps in capacity and range like the A220-300/A319 will be considered different categories.

The A220-300 even pays more than the NKs A320.

A220-300 is the same size as an A319 (and pays more at B6 than a 321 does at NK) and is banded with other narrowbodies, not small narrowbodies. Should we break down “category” into 321, 320, 319/223 for purposes of integration then also? Sounds like a plan.
Bingo. If they pay banded the A220-300 with the A320/737, case closed.

This is about seniority list integration

Would be nice if there was some clarity about it...
Yes, but if orders don't count why would announced, but not happened yet, retirements count?

I am still guessing there will be 3 categories, maybe 4 (ETOPS 321). And I am drinking tea. Definitely have been wrong before.

Let's start with the fact that by the time the arbitrator sits down on his bum to hear the case, most of the E190s will already be parked...

I think you will be very disappointed. But, if that's how you want it, then the 319 will be considered a smaller "category" and grouped with the A220-300. The E190s will be gone or almost gone when the Arbitrator sits down to hear the case, and JB has far more A321s than NK, which will be in yet a higher status "category", and net-net this will all favour JB.

Or you can stop misusing the idea of categories and stop having strange fantasies about how you can find a way to screw JB pilots on an SLI.

The APC pay scale is incorrect. Those are the A220-100 rates which JB doesn’t have. This has been noted yet APC doesn’t make the change. I posted all rates on here in a previous post.

This all reminds me of the early COVID discussions when one group was saying things like “if you anti science troglydytes would just mask and social distance for two weeks to bend down the curve,” and “As soon as we get 80% immunized COVID will go away,” while the other side was saying “A virus is going to virus.”

Nobody here ought to have any sort of surety because a mediator is going to mediate. We can of course root for our home team or our preferred method of cutting up the seniority pie but in the end the only one whose opinion will matter will be that of the mediator, and there WILL be a mediator, because just like this thread, there will never be agreement.

Now about that JCBA which must come first, any GOOD ideas on that we can all agree upon? Not just “more money,” that one is a given, “ but things that can actually improve QOL by making more efficient use of the time the job forces us to be away from home and family so we have more time to BE around home and family or, if the nest is now empty, playing with all the accumulated toys?

Good story, but there won't be a mediator...

It'll be an arbitrator. 😂
