Agreed. I’d like the DTZ to stay more than the 150% OT. But I want RSV pilots included in the DTZ ability. As far as I know NK RSVs can’t drop to zero like lineholders.

At JetBlue we already get flight benefits in retirement as well as retiree Zed agreements with most carriers we had as an active employee. That’s fairly standard across the industry.

Hey. You live there by choice. Just uproot your family and move to a different base or airport with better parking. Problem solved.

I’m being facetious in case it wasn’t clear.

Things I like at NK -
No same day starts(2 in 1)
No red eye plus 1 - my favorite trip is 0455 to Houston and then back home the next day 10 hours pay 5 hours flying, back at my house by 9 am
When assigned a trip, reserve have line holder protection.
Alternate dead head - arrive at your DH location, call, either have to assign you something or release you. Small victory but got released in LAS Saturday before Easter, caught a ride home that day, was off paid until Monday afternoon, for example.
Of course red/green DTZ schedule flexibility but y'all have heard about that ad nauseum

JB already has a term for "alternate deadhead" .... it is an online positive space ticket to your home city from your DH origin airport. What is this "call to be assigned something or be released" stuff? Back end DH you are supposed to be off the hook when you set the parking brake.

Personally we need to find a drop number that works for the majority of the pilots and a system that doesnt require swaps, screw having to need someone to take your flying.

Plenty of times I have dropped to 50, enjoyed the time off, decide if I want to work 200%, and did not have to worry about maintaining certain credit.
Ahhhh there it is! Weeks of pulling teeth and arguing about "drop to zero" and finally we get the truth that we on the JB side suspected all along. Seems like it's a nice perk for super junior guys with horrible lines and for the extreme small minority who just don't want to work ever. Not worth spending a ton of negotiating capital on, but could use it to leverage a better reserve grid system and drop to a reasonable level of credit (35 or 50?).

MCO’s new JetBlue Concourse - “Please allow yourself an additional 30 minutes to get to work because the employee van only runs three times an hour, and the walk from security to the crew room is a mile…”

I hope the SCL reserves in MCO are demanding an extra 30 minutes when they get called in for a trip. The company expects it, crew services should provide it.

Yup already have that at JB and unless there is a current catastrophe happening (ie cancellation package being processed) approval cannot be withheld…. You just punch a button on on you iPad and a few minutes later it gets approved, for that matter you can get it processed weeks in advance if you like.

you mean to tell me that what you are scheduled for a back end DH, they have the option of giving you something?

that’s terrible.

I still think we should have “rounds” of DTZ so the bottom guys get some too. We (JB) already run these three rounds for add/drop/trade, so implementation is already in place and working…

First round - drop to 50 by seniority, if grids are green.
Second round - drop to 25 by seniority, if grids are green.
Third round - drop to zero, first come, first served.
