Personally we need to find a drop number that works for the majority of the pilots and a system that doesnt require swaps, screw having to need someone to take your flying.

Plenty of times I have dropped to 50, enjoyed the time off, decide if I want to work 200%, and did not have to worry about maintaining certain credit.
As a data point, my buddy got his first line. Dropped everything and picked up flying around the days he needed off.

Biggest thing is to not make it seniority order and more of a first come first serve kinda deal.

DTZ aside, I would love to see positive space commuting, profit sharing, better health, dental, vision, paid short term parking, and hotels for LCR to SCR conversions. Oh, and get rid of SQ positions and make those trips something you bid for. I know there’s more out there, but this is off the top of my head.

I like the drop SQ positions. I wouldn't mind the occasional jump over to London and Paris when that starts. How it is now that is all you do is the sole reason I didn't bid for it. Being locked into only SQ as a line holder doesn't sound fun.

-Average Min Day of 5 hours needs to go. Needs to be 5:15 hours per day and not an average.
-Increase of PTO accrual
-Extra week of vacation
-Profit Sharing
-crew meals

We can’t have DTZ and Open Time paid at 150% in the same contract… company would never allow it.

We could, however, try to get Open Time paid at 150% during any IROP.

We cant have the whole JFK base be SQ qualified. It would be impossible for all those pilots in JFK to remain current. We would also increase the risk of gross navigational error due to us not flying the tracks often enough. FAA gets involved, we lose ETOPS certification. The whole JFK base being SQ qualified will not happen, at least not for a while.

Also while in SQ, you can still drop SQ trips and pick up domestic. Just have to fix that reserve grid, that’s where red/green would come in.

Transatlantic flying isn’t something that can be done casually when someone wants to jump over. It’s not rocket surgery, but has enough moving parts that qualifying an entire pilot group or base isn’t realistic.

Also not something I’d spend any negotiating capital on. Just bid over to it for half a year and bid out.

Say it again. Sure seems like Positive Space commuting became a thing while locals have only taken it in the shorts the last 2 years with an ever worsening parking situation (looking at you JFK/BOS...LGA being a lone bright spot). I don't begrudge the PS commuting but the union sure doesn't seem interested in our joke of a parking situation.

jetblue guy here. Our resssignnent language is actually pretty good.

emergency reassignment (basically any reassignment) within our pairing footprint pays 150% and can only be done 2 times in the previous 12 calendar months. Outside of our pairing footprint is 200% @ a 5hr minimum.

certainly room for improvement, but not terrible.

While on LTD: 401K contributions

In retirement: flight and medical benefits (since we're shooting for the stars)
